Classic Hummus

Now, what's so different about classic hummus? Honestly, EVERYTHING! This recipe is a lifesaver for those days when one craves for something creamy and full of flavor.

This recipe is just a reminder of how easy and delicious this chickpea dip is. Although, it is very convenient to buy hummus from any store. I would prefer to make this at home, It's so much more fresh and satisfying to make it yourself and did i mention how easy it is?. I love to make it myself, so i can alter the flavours as per my liking.

Hummus goes so well with practically everything - In a sandwich, on salads, with some grilled kebabs or even with some simple vegges or crackers.

Ingredients

1 Cup: Cooked Chickpeas/Garbanzo beans
1/4 cup: chickpea stock (the leftover water from boiling the peas) or water
3 tbsp: Tahini (sesame paste)
2: Garlic cloves
1 tbsp: Olive oil
1 tbsp: Lemon juice
1 tsp: Crushed black pepper
1/4 tsp: Salt (or as per taste)
A pinch of smoked paprika (optional)

If you want an additional twist to this classic hummus, try adding roasted garlic instead of raw garlic. It take this hummus to another level altogether.

There are so many variations to hummus, but this one is my all time favorite.

Method

Throw all the above ingredients in a good processor (A blender will work just fine too) and blend until smooth paste. and..DONE!

This hummus can be stored in the fridge for a week. It is perfect for packing as a snack with some vegges or crackers for work.

Its completely healthy and guilt free. Clean & Delicious!!
