Classic Hummus

Now, what's so different about classic hummus? Honestly, EVERYTHING! This recipe is a lifesaver for those days when one craves for something creamy and full of flavor. This recipe is just a reminder of how easy and delicious this chickpea dip is. Although, it is very convenient to buy hummus from any store. I would prefer to make this at home, It's so much more fresh and satisfying to make it yourself and did i mention how easy it is?. I love to make it myself, so i can alter the flavours as per my liking. Hummus goes so well with practically everything - In a sandwich, on salads, with some grilled kebabs or even with some simple vegges or crackers. Ingredients 1 Cup: Cooked Chickpeas/Garbanzo beans 1/4 cup: chickpea stock (the leftover water from boiling the peas) or water 3 tbsp: Tahini (sesame paste) 2: Garlic cloves 1 tbsp: Olive oil 1 tbsp: Lemon juice 1 tsp: Crushed black pepper 1/4 tsp: Salt (or as per taste) A pinch of smoked

Chickpeas, also known as Garbanzo beans are high in fiber and protein, both of which monitor the insulin that causes your body to store fat.  when I began my weight loss journey,  I loved coming up with healthy snack ideas because who doesn't love snacking ?! This chickpeas/garbanzo beans patties are totally clean & delicious. Now, you too can enjoy a cup of tea or coffee with these perfect high fiber savory patties. They have all refreshing ingredients making them extremely flavor-full and totally guilt-free! Now, that's a win-win recipe.  Trust me guys, you don't have to eat bland food to lose weight, if you are not going to enjoy eating delicious food on your weight loss journey, you are most likely to give up very soon.  Each of these patties are only approximately 85 calories!!  The ingredients are simple and easily available, most likely you have them in your kitchen already. Mushroom & Broccoli soup

This soup has been a life saver for me. You know, some days when you have been eating heavy the whole day and want something light, but a cold salad doesn't sound very satisfying? This soup is perfect for such days. It's low on calories and yet so creamy and filling. This soup is not the ones where you need to slow cook for hours before it's ready. Its totally instant, one pot and only a very few ingredients are required. Shall we get started? Ingredients: 2 cups- Broccoli florets 1 cup- white mushrooms (chopped) 1 medium size- onion (finely chopped) 1 medium size- Potato (finely chopped) 3-4- Garlic cloves (finely chopped) 2 cups- chicken/vegetable/beef broth 1 tsp- crushed black pepper 1 tbsp- oil 1/4 Cup- milk (I use 2% milk) 2 tbsp- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional) salt (As per taste) Method: 1. Chicken Tikka Kebabs

Chicken thigh pieces are usually the best for this recipe as the dish turns out more flavorful, but I used chicken breasts and they turned out great too. You could also use paneer (Indian cottage cheese) or tofu. Plan to cook extra -- There is so much you can do with leftovers. I make wraps, use them in a salad, or simply have it with some brown rice the next day. Grilling these kebabs on a pan prevents overcooking and also gets you that great restaurant-style charred look. Of course, an oven will work just fine too but will take longer to preheat and cook.
